Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and it is the country's economic, cultural, and historical capital. The city's biggest attraction remains its historic center, partially listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, but its cultural and entertainment hub can be found across the city's natural harbor, the Golden Horn, in the Beyoğlu district.
Formally called Constantinople, Istanbul was the capital of the Roman Empire and Europe's wealthiest metropolis, and is now the largest city in Turkey. Here you will find a fabulous city that spans Asia and Europe. In Istanbul you will see how old meets new when you visit the "must-see" historic sites such as the Blue Mosque , one of the most famous monuments in both the Turkish and Islamic worlds.

ITts in the heart of istanbul, really close to the main shopping street and bars/restaurants.
The room was super clean and compfortable.
But the best was Tarik.
When we arrived he took care of us and explained everything: "what to do" and "what we not have to do".
We had a great time there and we will reccomend this accomondation really really tho other travellers.
We had a wonderful stay in Istanbul! ! The apartment is really great, clean and ideally located ( next to tram and metro stations,grocery,coffee..)along the sea and close to everything. We could go everywhere on foot. Tarik was a very kind and great host! We'll definitely come back! :)I highly recommend Tarik and his apartment(s) to everybody!
Thank you Tarik!
As you can see in the pictures, this appartment is no luxury. Regarding the price it is ok in my opinion. The location is good, very close to the isticlal (5min walking) and Taksim square (7min walking).
The appartment was clean. Just the bed was not made, so we had to change the blankets ourselves. The balcony is nice, but only as long as the weather is stable because there is no roof. Remember to always take the balcony key with you. If the balcony door closes you are locked out on the 5th floor. Tarik really helped me in this funny situation. Next time, i would chose something more suitable -and pay a little more.
The apartment was clean, nice and well situated. The balkony was perfect. Tarik was nice and friendly and he kept all promises and what we agree.
thank you so much for everything tarik! we fell in love with your city... and the apartment was the best place to explore istambul ever.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Tarik's place one week. It was just great. The flat is perfectly located: to reach the Taksim movida you just need to cross the road (5 mins walking)/but it's also great as you are not in the middle of the caos.
In front of the apt there is a bus stop to go to Taksim metro station, but actually we always walked to reach the metro - it's really close.
Outside the building there is a late night shop (!) that was amazing as the flat has a big terrace w view and you can't miss to chill out a bit drinking a beer at home.
The flat was clean, we found everything there, we did not have any problem.
Tarik is a really nice guy, he can suggest good places for eating.
We really enjoyed over there
My wife and I stayed in the appartment for five days. To us it was a very comfortable place to come back to after a whole day of walking the streets of Istanbul. The bed is very comfortable and all technical equipment like the air conditioning works properly (with the minor exception of the hose of the shower that is leaking). The inferior is done tastefully and the whole building is run very well. The price is actually absurdly low if it wasn*t for the fact that the house is situated at the bottom end of a very steep road in a trashy quarter. We didn't mind because in five minutes walk You can reach the zone around the Istiklal where You can have superb dinners.
We stayed for 16 days in an apartment in Beyoglu (Istanbul). The apartment was incredibly close and good at Istanbul's sights, only a small trip by bus through the city, and you ended up in the Grand Bazaar.
Our host Tarik was very helpful during the whole process, it is highly recommended.
I can recommend this accommodation. Verry nice is the balcony. The apartment was clean and tidy. There was everything you needed. Fridge, washing machine, stove, microwave and so on.
The apartment is in the near of the big shopping street Istiklal and the Taksim Square. The Galata Tower und the Galata Bridge can be reached on foot in 20-30 minutes. Tarik was very friendly and gave us some useful tips for the city.
We enjoyed our stay at Tariks place a lot. The room was clean and neat, towels and linen were provided. There's a fully equiped kitchen and a common room where it's possible to prepare and eat your own food. The staff was very friendly and helpful even we arrived really late at night.
All in all fully recommendable!
There were only two tiny negative aspects:
- the address is very hard to find for taxi drivers even if it's only from Taksim square, because it's a small street. So make sure you have Tariks phone number with you. Call him and hand the phone over to the taxi driver so he knows where to go and you don't need to pay lots of money for just driving around and trying to find it ;)
- second thing was that it was a bit loud outside as there is a large street around the corner where there's a lot of traffic. So unfortunately it's almost not possible to keep the window open at night. But there's an air-condition anyway ;)
